ALS as president, one page, 4.75 x 7, June 14, 1851. Letter to Frank Taylor. In full: “I herewith return the letter of Mssrs. Samuel Hart Leo in relation to a Terrestrial Globe and enclose you one from E. Foreman Asst. Librarian to the Smithsonian Institute and advise that you enquire after the one which he recommends.” Double matted and framed with a copy of a Brady portrait of Fillmore and a small caption, to an overall size of 16.5 x 12.5. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, and a uniform shade of mild toning. Fine scientific association.
