LS signed “Benj Harrison,” one page, 4.75 x 8, personal letterhead, March 16, 1895. Letter to William McCoy in Philadelphia. In part: “I have to thank you very sincerely for your friendly note…I had a pretty severe attack of the Grip; but all unfavorable symptoms have disappeared; and I am suffering now only from weakness—but am daily gaining increased strength. If the weather were more pleasant I think the doctor would let me go out.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Uniform toning, some light soiling to edges, and some mirroring of letterhead to bottom of page, otherwise fine condition.
