#226 Lot 238 Historic Events

Four photos: semi-glossy 6 x 4 postcard photo of the Titanic, signed in black felt tip by survivor Milivina Dean, and the archaeologist who discovered the ship, Dr. Robert Ballard; color matte-finish 4 x 6 photo of Kim Phuc holding up the Pulitzer Prize-winning image of herself at age nine after being severely burned during a South Vietnamese napalm attack, signed in blue felt tip, “With love & peace, Kim Phuc”; glossy 6 x 4 photo of the Hindenburg disaster, signed in blue felt tip by Robert Buchanan; and a satin-finish 8 x 10 image of John Gotti and his defense attorney, Bruce Cutler, signed in black ink by Cutler. Scattered light surface marks to the Titanic image, a bit of a grainy appearance to the Gotti and Cutler image, and slightly irregular ink adhesion to Ballard’s and Cutler’s signatures, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by 10 x 8 photos of the Titanic and the Pulitzer Prize-winning image of Phuc, and an 8 x 10 photo of Buchanan in uniform.
