King of Great Britain and Ireland (born 1895) from 1936 until his death in 1952. He and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, were the parents of Elizabeth II. Christmas card from 1942, measuring 7 x 6 closed, inside bears a printed portrait of the royal family posing outdoors opposite a pre-printed sentiment which reads, “With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year,” and signed underneath, “George R,” and “ from Elizabeth R.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
