Endorsed check, 6 x 2.75, filled out and signed in another hand and endorsed on the reverse by Schweitzer, payable to Dr. Albert Schweitzer by Margaret C. Hayes for $2.00, July 31, 1960. In very good condition, with an ink notation, the expected cancellation holes, show-through from a cancellation stamp on the reverse, a light stamp over a portion of the signature, and mild pooling to the signature. Accompanied by a cardstock photo of Schweitzer with a patient, bearing a handwritten letter by his assistant on the reverse, and the original mailing envelope.
