Two items: color glossy 8 x 10 portrait of Westmoreland in uniform, signed and inscribed in the bottom border in black felt tip, “To: Harry Zinn, Jr., With best wishes, W. C. Westmoreland, May 1977”; and a brief TLS signed “W. C. Westmoreland,” on a white 7.25 x 10.5 sheet of personal letterhead, May 8, 1977. In full: “Thank you for the invitation to attend your graduation exercise. Although I can not be present, I congratulate you. Enclosed is the picture you requested.” In fine condition, with scattered light surface marks and two light dings to the left edge of the photo.
