Discoverers of Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9, a comet that broke apart and collided with Jupiter in July 1994. Ink signatures of Gene and Carolyn Shoemaker and David Levy on an off-white 5 x 3 card; a commemorative cover with a cachet honoring Surveyor 6, signed in blue ballpoint by Eugene Shoemaker; and an FDC with a cachet honoring the completion of the Palomar Observatory, signed in blue and black ballpoint by Gene and Carolyn Shoemaker and David Levy. In fine condition, with pencil address to FDC.
