#617 Lot 645 Charles Perrault
French author (1628–1703) who laid the foundations for the literary genre of the fairy tale. ANS in French, signed “Perrault,” one page, 4.25 x 6.5, July 20, 1672. Untranslated note asking Mr. de la Planche to pay the carpenters Le Gendre and Fontenay for their work. In very good condition, with scattered toning and foxing, some stray ink flecks to borders, and a couple trivial tears along central horizontal fold.
