#645 Lot 673 August Strindberg
Important Swedish novelist and playwright (1849–1912) who takes a place among the most influential figures in the development of modern theater. ALS in his native language, signed “August Strindberg,” and “A. S.,” on the correspondence side of a 3.5 x 5.5 postcard, no date. Strindberg thanks his correspondent (a close friend that he addresses by his initials M. M) for proofs of one of his books and calls his attention to pages 96 to 107 in a postscript which he signs with his initials. In very good condition, with horizontal crease, uniform toning, and scattered staining and soiling.
