Two items: TLS, one page, 5.75 x 8.75, illustrated letterhead featuring an area of jagged teeth marks to the left corner, with Garfield munching on the bitten paper, August 1988. Davis writes to a fan, in part: “Your support of my fat friend has kept him well-supplied with lasagna and has allowed him to remain one of the most popular comic strip characters in print and on television…I have enclosed an autographed print. Enjoy!”; and a printed ink sketch of Garfield perched on Odie’s back, dangling a bone at the end of a fishing rod in front of the running dog, signed in red felt tip. In fine condition.
