#732 Lot 766 Camille Saint-Saens
Prolific and prodigiously talented French Romantic composer (1835–1921) of such timeless works as the ‘Organ’ Symphony,’ the opera ‘Samson et Dalila,’ and the perennial concert favorite ‘Carnival of the Animals.’ AMQS on a 7 x 4.5 album page. Saint-Saens pens two bars of music from an unknown work, notated at the top, “C. Symphonie,” and signed at the bottom, “C. Saint-Saens 1912.” In fine condition, with some scattered light toning and soiling and a small ink notation to top right corner.
