Interesting collection of items consisting of: bank check, 5.75 x 2.5, filled out and signed by Monroe, payable to Mrs. Peggy Mertz for $200, March 20, 1953. Notation to lower left in another hand reads, “Rent in advance, March 18–April 18.”; a personally-owned and worn black stocking of Monroe’s, originally acquired from Julien’s Auction House on June 4, 2005; and several strands of Marilyn‘s hair, taken the infamous night she sang ‘Happy Birthday, Mr. President,’ to John F. Kennedy in May of 1962, with background and provenance from Monroe’s hairdresser, Robert Champion. All items are nicely cloth matted and framed, with a portrait of Monroe dressing herself in silk hose, to an overall size of 19.5 x 25.
