Legendary Hollywood production executive who took hold of Universal City at age 20, and supervised such films as Ben Hur and Mutiny on the Bounty. He died of pneumonia at age 37. Louis B. Mayer Studios, Inc., business check, 8.5 x 3, filled out in type and signed by Thalberg, “I. Thalberg,” payable to W. H. Hibbard for $53.50, stamp-dated May 30, 1923. In very good condition, with several vertical creases, paperclip impression to top edge, some mild toning, and a couple of stamps to body, one over beginning of signature.
