ANS signed “Ty,” on a 4 x 1.75 irregularly clipped slip, no date. Brief note, possibly clipped from a longer letter reads, in full: “I am at Cornelia, Ga., some 35 miles from Royston where you addressed your letter to me.” Slip is affixed to a 5 x 3 off-white slip. Closely trimmed edges, a small area of toning affecting last word of note, and some other scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition. After leaving baseball Cobb lived mostly on the West Coast, although he did eventually return to Cornelia, Georgia. He endowed a number of charities, the best known being a string of hospitals in northeast Georgia.
