Boxer (1876–1963) who was the first light heavyweight champion of the world and is now one of the newest members of the Boxing Hall of Fame. Easter greeting tag, 3.5 x 2.25, with a color image of lilies on the left side, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Dear Farmer & Marge, Healthy Ester [sic] to you both, Sincerely, Jack Root.” Diagonal separation to bottom portion, trivially touching first stroke of signature, and some scattered light toning and soiling, otherwise fine condition.
