#1499 Lot 1551 Payne Stewart

American golfer (1957–1999) who won three major tournaments before dying of hypoxia when the Learjet on which he was flying gradually lost cabin pressure, killing all six aboard, and crashed, unmanned, in a field in South Dakota. Ink signature, “Payne Stewart,” on an off-white 8.5 x 5.5 sheet, with a collector’s pencil notation to top edge. In fine condition.
