Partly-printed DS, signed “F. Whittelsey,” one page, 7.5 x 7, October 1, 1868. Form letter issued to Lee by the Adjutant General’s Office of Connecticut upon his discharge indicating he will also receive a check for $100 “for the Additional Bounty allowed by Act of Congress.” In very good condition, with horizontal folds, and some scattered toning and creasing.
