#1854 Lot 1914 Union Soldier
Rare and stunning soldier’s oval tintype, 1.5 x 2, framed in an ornate, gilt-embellished half-case frame. In this bust length pose, the mustached soldier sports his army shirt with upturned collar and standard issue cap. Pale red tints of hand coloring to the cheeks and lip were added at the time. In fine condition.
