Confederate general and railroad president (1809–1891). Charleston and Savannah Rail Road $510,000 mortgage loan bond, #867, 15 x 10.75, signed at the conclusion in ink as president, “Thos. F. Drayton.” Additionally signed by the secretary and comptroller general. Seven individual $15.00 bonds are attached at the bottom edge. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, scattered light toning, and light show-through from writing on the reverse.
