Lot 108 Pair of 18th to 19th Century Cast-Iron Canons
Pair of 18th to 19th Century Cast-Iron Canons
Measuring approx. 28”L, bore approx. 1-3/4” (internal dimension). Showing crown at center portion of breech, fancy matriculated rings on body, turned Caskibel with loop at rear for movement, and large support pivots for
mounting. The canons are of cast iron, but have a finish or patina that resembles bronze. They have old handmade carriages or trucks of a naval style that are made for display purposes but not useable and are of
the 19th to 20th century in our opinion showing iron mounts and wood wheels. A very interesting pair of antique canons of nice size weighing approx. 65.5lbs each that have a Dutch or English look.
