Thin trade-steel type blade, 12” overall, blade approx. 7” by 1-7/8” at widest point. Blade secured by plain brass rivets in wood grip. Grip is weathered and fragmentary from exposure. Blade is rusted and worn and shows
sharpening at the edges, reduction from use, and light to heavy pitting. These are among the earliest knives identified to American Indians, and this one, although in relic condition, is authentic.
