1840 Ames "Wristbreaker" or Heavy Cavalry Sword
Dated 1846 and marked "Cabotville.", fully inspected, original script engraved on guard, "Capt. D. Hicks, 1st Reg't. Mich. Vol's." Daniel Hicks organized the Adrian Guards who served in Mexico and landed at Vera Crus.
Very good+ condition with scabbard. Should be further researched to this soldier's Civil War history. Absolutely authentic.
