1800's Mason's Blacking Shoe Polish Box Black Americana, Original late 1800's wooden display case for MASON'S CHALLENGE BLACKING Shoe Polish. It held three dozen of #4 polish. Finger joint construction the box is very sturdy. Lithographed paper labels, the label on the inside of the top is complete and excellent condition, the colors on inside label is bright and vibrant, the label on the front is missing the upper left corner (where it should say 3 doz. and No. 4 and the upper part of the M, A, and S in MASONS), has been varnished, there is writing on the lid R.I. Augustus and other lettering, measures approx. 9''W x 6''H x 13.25''L.
