Original Acrylic - Jane Johnson. Jane Jonhnson is from Marengo, Illinois & she enjoys experimenting with different painting mediums and surfaces. Her paintings are inspired by nature, play, the moment, and problem resolution. They represent balance, fearlessness, strength, and optimism. She begins each painting by choosing her colors with a feeling of her expression, then she paints quickly before the acrylic dries. As she paints, she pays attention to the parts and whole at the same time until balance is achieved. She paints on a variety of surfaces; canvas, masonite, and Yupo paper a synthetic surface, using many different tools to apply the paint; brushes, brayers, fingers, squeegees, pouring. All of her paintings are originals, she dos not make prints. This painting is a Golden acrylic paint on synthetic Yupa papers, made of extruded polypropolene. The paint is attached to the foamcore board using double-sided ATG tape in the four corners. "This painting was awarded "Best of Show" at the 2003 invitational and juried exhibit featuring 75 Women Artist, held at the Key West Customs House." Measures approx. 40.25''H x 9 7/8''W. Very colorful!
