1996 Original Southwestern Pastel - Georgie Sichler Bemis. Framed in a wood frame, double matted, under glass. New Mexico artist. Georgie Bemis was born in New Mexico and raised in Tennessee. She returned to New Mexico in 1990 to learn more about painting and began working in pastels. Georgie is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of New Mexico and teaches pastel workshops throughout the U.S. including the Taos Institute of Art in Taos, NM. She has won numerous awards at national and international shows and has work represented at the Liz-Beth Gallery in Knoxville and Framing Concepts in New Mexico.
