Framed Numbered Print ''Runaway Stallion'' - Tahoma. Quincy Tahoma was born in 1920 and died, prematurely, in 1956 of alcoholism. "Tahoma" means, "Water Edge". He studied art in Santa Fe, NM from 1936-1940, attending the Santa Fe Indian School. Although of some debate, he eas one of the Navajo Code Talkers, who played a critical role in the winning of World War II in the Pacific. Tahoma served in the Signal Corps, returning to the Navajo reservation and resuming his career as an artist. This dynamic print is numbered 53/1000. Original was signed in the lower right corner, ''TAHOMA '55''. Visual measures 12''Hx9.25''W.
