^Lot 18 Massive British Proofed Flintlock Brass Barrel Blunderbuss

There are no maker markings with the left side of the barrel at the breech stamped with a series of proofs (star/[illegible]B, crown/GP, crown/V). The action and barrel tang are iron while the barrel, trigger guard, buttplate, and ramrod pipes are brass. The barrel has a flared muzzle with a 1 3/4 inch opening. The smooth stock has a flat buttplate which has an engraving on the tang. Comes with a brass tipped wooden ramrod.

Condition: Very good. The action and barrel tang have a mottled bright appearance. The brass has an attractive patina. The lock plate is loose but hammer cocks and releases when trigger is pulled. The stock is very good with a couple minor cracks near the lock plate and a number of minor handling marks overall.
