^Lot 23 Massive Japanese Matchlock with Heavy Barrel

This Japanese matchlock is fitted with a 41 inch heavy octagon barrel that gauges at 69 caliber. The action has brass components. The smooth full length stock has a brass band behind the receiver and a brass band towards the muzzle. A symbol is stamped on the right side of the buttstock.

Condition: Fair. The barrel has a smooth dark patina with minor oxidation. The brass has a dark untouched aged patina. The trigger guard is missing. The stock is very good with a few minor cracks, some chipping and some minor pressure dents and scratches.
