Lot 51 Gold Inlaid European Pinfire Revolver with Ivory Grips and Soviet Cossack Sword

The rear of the cylinder has Liege ELG and crown/E proofs. The barrel features gold inlaid accents at the breech and muzzle with the barrel lug also featuring the gold inlaid pattern. The cylinder, frame, and grip straps feature a gold inlaid wire border with game scenes on the cylinder and frame. The left side of the frame has game birds, the right side has rabbits and the 6-shot cylinder has deer. The hammer has a light engraving and the folding trigger is smooth. Fitted with smooth two piece grips with gold inlaid accents on the screw escutcheons. With a Soviet Cossack featuring a 31 1/2 inch single fuller blade, fluted wooden grip, textured pommel with Soviet motif (star with hammer and sickle), and scabbard.

Condition: Fine. The barrel and frame retain 40% original bright blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina and the cylinder retains 90% plus original bright blue finish with some light spotting. The loading gate does not latch. The grips are both excellent with a few hairline age cracks near the screw. The ivory has an attractive color and grain pattern. The sword is good with some chipping along the edge of the blade and a minor crack on the grip.
