^Lot 66 Scarce F.C. Taylor Fur Getter Trap Gun

Produced in the 1920s, the Fur Getter uses an 11 1/2 inch bait hook as a trigger, and can swivel on 2 points to line up with the animal pulling the bait. Marked "TAYLOR FUR GETTER./F.C. TAYLOR FUR CO. ST. LOUIS. MO." on the left side of the frame, 1914 patent date along with "DSM" (likely initials of a previous owner) on the reverse. Hook height is adjustable, and the unit is mounted on a swiveling screw.
