^Lot 128 Contemporary Raymond Jenkins Signed Percussion Kentucky Rifle with Relief Carved Buttstock

The top barrel flat is script marked "Raymond Jenkins". The fixed sights are flanked with an engraving. Equipped with double set triggers. Light engraved lock plate and hammer. The nicely figured full length stock has an incised carving, brass forend cap, and a very ornate bird motif brass patch box on the right side of the buttstock with a cheekpiece featuring an engraved brass eagle on the left side. The top of the wrist has a border engraved initial oval and the top of the comb has an engraved brass acorn. The brass trigger guard, crescent buttplate, side plate and barrel pin escutcheons are engraved. With brass tipped wooden ramrod. The ramrod pipes are also brass.

Condition: Near mint as professionally custom made. The rifle retains 99% brown finish showing some mild loss at the muzzle. The brass has a very attractive appearance. The stock is also excellent with only the slightest handling marks.
