Lot 142 Unique and Rare Thornton Patent Double Action Revolver
The left side of the frame is marked "THORNTONS/PATENT". British proofs are stamped on the barrel and cylinder. An ejector rod is mounted on the right side and the butt has a lanyard ring. The unique feature of this revolver is that the upper left side plate has a swinging feature where you retract a latch behind the hammer, thus exposing the internal mechanism. A truly unique feature!
