Lot 149 Webley & Son Mark III Double Action Revolver
Introduced in 1897. The top strap is marked "J WEBLEY & SON/LONDON & BIRMINGHAM", the left side of the top strap is marked "MARK "III" 38" and the right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and "WEBLEY/PATENTS". The rear face of the cylinder is marked with the partial serial number "304" and "38", and "304" are marked on the bottom of the barrel lug.

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with loss due to flaking, with some light spotting. The exposed metal has a smooth brown patina. The grips are very good with a couple minor dings and bruises in the otherwise crisp checkering. The action needs work, it doesn't cycle properly. The markings are clear.
