^Lot 210 Pre-War Colt First Series Woodsman Match Target Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured in 1939. Also known as the "Bullseye Match Target", the top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent information. The left side of the barrel is marked with the "MATCH/(bullseye)/TARGET" logo, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN" and the left side of the slide "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. Blade front and adjustable rear target sights, all blue finish, serrated trigger, two tone magazine marked "COLT WOODSMAN/CAL. 22 L.R./MATCH TARGET MOD." and fitted with a pair of original checkered "elephant ear" walnut grips with silver Colt medallions.

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 97% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, and some scattered minor scratches and handling marks. The grips are fine with a few minor dings and handling marks, and moderately worn checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
