Lot 419 Reid Surveyor's Compass
Produced circa 1860-1870 by James Reid of Pennsylvania, a watchmaker and jeweler. Brass construction, with a glass topped, silver finished main section, bearing the makers markings, serial number and a niter blue compass arm. With two sighting arms, 15 1/2 inches across, a ball and socket jointed swivel, and a round wooden base.
