1) This early vintage casting or recasting of the classic Remington subject of the Pony Officer with his dress hat and uniform show a determined look on his face. Signed on the back Frederic Remington with no foundry mark, rests on a square vintage marble plinth. Measures 12 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches deep x 4 1/2 inches wide. Frederic Remington (Am 1861 - 1909). 2) This classic struggle between 2 rival factors in the animal world shows the bull and the bear in mortal combat with the outcome too soon to tell. This classic animalier depiction is typical of the early French sculptures. Measures 12 inches long x 5 1/4 inches wide x 9 inches tall. P. J. Mene (Fr. 19th Cent.).
