^Lot 1066 Excellent Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Takedown Rifle

Manufactured in 1923. Blade front sight and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. The left side of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line address/1894 patent date and the left rear is marked with the nickel steel/smokeless powder marking followed by "30 W.C.F.". The top of the barrel and receiver at the breech are marked with the Winchester oval proof. The upper tang is marked with the three line model, maker, trademark information and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. All blue finish, half magazine and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with steel end cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Condition: Very fine. The rifle retains 90% plus original blue finish with some edge wear, thinning and some areas of smooth brown patina. The wood is very fine as refinished with only a few overall scattered minor dings. The markings remain clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
