Lot 1092 Scarce Presentation Grade Colt Bullet Mold for a Model 1849 Pocket Revolver
Produced with a greater attention to finish and appearance than the typical Colt mold, a mold of this style would likely be issued with a special order item, such as a cased presentation piece or a finely engraved revolver. Steel construction with a high polish blue finish on the main body and the cutter, with dual cavities (round and conical), "COLT'S/PATENT" on top of the cutter, and "31Pkt" on the right side of the body. A fine, gentle contour has been executed on the inner and outer surfaces of the mold arms.
