^Lot 1179 Rare Post-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in 225 Winchester

Manufactured in 1966. This is a very scarce post-64 Model 70 Winchester manufactured in the rare 225 Winchester. These were only produced for a few years before being discontinued in favor of the 22-250. This rifle has the post-64 jeweled bolt and standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Barrel and receiver are tapped for scope/sighting mounting. Checkered pistol grip stock with grip cap, sling swivels, cheekpiece, and checkered plastic buttplate.
