^Lot 1218 Parker Brothers VH Grade Stock Side by Side Shotgun

Manufactured in 1926 and one of only 3,983 guns produced with a straight grip stock. This shotgun features dual bead sights on a matte solid rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS MERIDEN, CT. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL". Chokes measure improved modified/improved modified. Both sides of the action are marked "PARKER BROS" with double trigger and tang safety. Water table is marked "VH" above the serial number with a "V" below it. Mounted with a checkered beavertail forearm and straight grip stock with red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Condition: Fine with 85% plus the original blue finish on barrels with the beginnings of some thinning of the blue to the metal surfaces underneath with a few scratches and a couple of small dings on the barrel. The receiver retains 40% of its original bright case colors with the balance thinning to expose metal surfaces underneath. The partially refinished wood (rear portion of buttstock) is also very good with a few scattered light pressure dents and a few areas of light scratching. There is an extra spacer present under the solid rubber recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
