Lot 1547 Early Production Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured in 1915. Patridge blade front and notch rear sights, with the two line, two block address and patent markings on the left side, Rampant Colt behind the serrations, caliber marks below the ejection port, and "VP" and "R" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a long smooth trigger, checkered wide hammer, short grip safety, smooth mainspring housing with lanyard staple, and checkered grips.

Condition: Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing some mild scratches and spotting overall, a gray patina on the high edges and grip traps, and a small section of replaced metal at the front of the slide, near the period modified front sight. Grips are very good, with mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
