Lot 1629 Scarce Swiss Military Straight Pull Sniper Rifle

This model was introduced in 1955 and is built on the Model 31 action and is fitted with a 25 3/4 inch barrel, which is fitted with a muzzle break and bayonet lug. The top of the chamber is marked with the Swiss cross and the matching serial number is marked on the breech end of the barrel, ("910"), left side of the frame, bottom of the magazine, and on the bolt. The breech end of the barrel is also marked with Swiss proof marks. The bottom of the magazine is also marked "Zf.Kar.". The rifle is equipped with a 3.5 power Kern Aarau sniper scope which is numbered to the gun. The top of the scope is marked "4910/KERN AARAU/V=3.5/star =75 0/00". The left side of the receiver has integral bases and the scope and mounting rail are all one piece. The front sight is a shrouded blade and the rear sight is the tangent style graduated to 1,500 meters. There is an integral folding bi-pod mounted about mid stock, ahead of the magazine. Mounted with a one piece Beech pistol grip stock with checkered grip area, forearm finger grooves, small Swiss cross in a shield on the right side, steel buttplate and matching handguard. Complete with a correct leather sling and original gray painted scope can correctly numbered to the gun. The barrel is import marked.

Condition: Very fine with 90% military matte blue finish remaining, with a few overall scattered minor scratches and dings. The bi-pod shows some minor scratches and thinning. The stock is fine with scattered small gouges, dents, and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. The scope is excellent with clear optics and the can is also excellent with a few minor scuffs. The sling is good.
