^Lot 1857 Scarce Early Pre-Ban Armalite Model AR180 Semi-Automatic Rifle

This is an excellent example of an early AR-180 as manufactured by HOWA for Armalite. This rifle uses a gas operated, piston-driven system similar to the FN/FAL rifles. This was a very reliable and robust system which was intended as an improvement over the standard M-16 gas system. The receiver has standard Armalite/HOWA markings on the left side. The rifle has a pronged flash hider, adjustable post front and two leaf rear sights, ribbed and vented forearm, smooth pistol grip, and folding stock. Has an AR-18 marked magazine.
