This Royal Canadian Mounted Police Centennial musket celebrates "100" years of peaceful protection by the R.C.M.P. Receiver is roll marked "MP" on the right side with a Mountie on horseback and 1873-1973 on the left side. The barrel is also roll marked and gold filled "R.C.M.P. 1873-1973". The receiver tang is marked "Maintens Le Droit". The receiver, barrel bands, and buttplate are brass plated. The wood is a nice dark walnut with the R.C.M.P. crested medallion inletted into the buttstock. With box numbered to the gun.
