^Lot 3135 U.S. Nathaniel Starr Model 1818 Cavalry Sabre with Scabbard

32" curved single fuller clip point blade with "US/P/LS/N.STARR" on the right ricasso. Iron hilt, with a stirrup-style knuckle guard and grooved wood grip. With an iron scabbard and a leather belt hanger.

Condition: Very good, with a mixed gray patina on the blade, showing mild handling marks. Pitting is visible on the hilt and scabbard, with a darker patina. Grip is good as period repaired, with a mended crack in the front and a dark paint finish. Leather shows mild cracking.
