^Lot 3637 Engraved AYA Side Lock 20 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun

The top of the solid rib towards the breech is marked "AYA-AGUIRRE & ARANZABAL-MADE IN SPAIN" followed by a section of engraved scrollwork. Single bead front sight, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked improved cylinder/improved cylinder and ejectors. The casehardened action features an extensive scroll engraving which extends to the blue break lever and trigger guard. The side locks are marked "AYA AGUIRRE & ARANZABAL". The barrels, forearm, forearm hardware and trigger guard are numbered to the gun. Double triggers and automatic tang safety with safety marking in gold. Mounted on a nicely figured straight grip walnut stock with checkering on the wrist and forearm, monogrammed initial oval, and checkered bare butt. The length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Condition: Excellent. The shotgun retains 99% plus of the respective original finishes with only a few light handling marks. The wood is very fine with a couple repairs on the forearm, a minor chip missing from the forearm and a few minor handling marks overall. The checkering is crisp.
