Lot 3747 Excellent WWII U.S. Inland M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine
This is an excellent example of a very early WWII U.S. Inland carbine with blade and two leaf sights, with early production "10-42" Inland barrel, Type I barrel band, flat bolt, milled trigger guard, checkered button safety and "EI" magazine catch. High wood stock, with 2-rivet handguard, "I" oiler cut, Ordnance cartouche on the right buttstock, "10" and bomb in the sling cut and a tan canvas sling.

Condition: Excellent, with 97% of the correct original dark finish, showing a few small areas of brown patina and very mild handling marks. Bolt retains 95% plus original blue. Stock is very fine, with a light coat of linseed oil and scattered minor dents. Mechanically excellent. An excellent example of an early U.S. Inland carbine.
