Lot 3765 1913 Production U.S. Army Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster

Manufactured in 1913 on contract by Colt for the U.S. Army. The left side of the slide has the two-line, two-block address and patent dates marking with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations and the right side has the model marking. The left side of the frame has a "WGP" inspector stamp. Checkered slide stop and wide hammer, with flat mainspring housing. Correct early style rounded rear sight. Fitted with checkered diamond pattern walnut grips and two-tone magazine. The following accessories are included: lanyard and a Boyt U.S. leather holster.

Condition: Very good plus. The slide retains traces of original blue finish in and around the protected areas and the frame retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The heavily worn grips are good with some chipping around the screws and some minor handling marks with a couple areas of wear in the checkering. Mechanically excellent. Holster is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks. The stitching is tight.
