^Lot 1679 The Great Titanic Disaster

Two items: red hardcover copy of The Great Titanic Disaster, by Thomas Russell, Laird & Lee, 1912, featuring an artist’s rendition of an angel holding a wreath over a sinking ship; and a paperback copy of the same book, featuring the same drawing, only larger, on the front cover. The hardcover version bears the imprinted message, “As the ship disappeared, the band played ‘Nearer My God to Thee.’” The hardcover version features a cracked hinge, and the back cover and connecting spine of the paperback version is not attached.
