^Lot 1158 W. C. Fields

Vintage glossy 2.5 x 4 photo of Fields dressed in white and leaning on a wrought-iron fence, signed in fountain pen, “Best wishes, W. C. Fields.” Collector’s notation on reverse reads, “Autographed Sunday, Jan. 16–38, San Fernando Valley. Given me by Anita Stewart.” In very good condition, with moderate contrast to portions of signature and sentiment, some light creases, and surface impressions from notes on reverse.
